Mundial26-Simulator.com ("the Site") is an independent prediction simulator for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

Local storage (browser only):

Your prediction scores (group matches and knockout rounds)

Your locked prediction snapshot and date

Your daily visit streak

Your cookie consent choice

A random fingerprint (UUID) used to prevent duplicate votes in the champion poll

None of this data leaves your device unless you explicitly create an account.

If you sign in with Google:

Your Google name, email address and profile picture (provided by Google OAuth)

Your saved prediction (stored encrypted in our database)

Automatically collected:

Anonymous usage analytics via Vercel Analytics (page views, referrers, country — no personal identifiers)

Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) retained for 30 days

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

**Functional cookies** (always active): localStorage keys to save your predictions and preferences. These are essential to the Site's operation.

**Advertising cookies** (require consent): Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. These are only activated after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.

You can withdraw your advertising consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or by declining via the cookie banner on your next visit.

5. Third Parties

**Google OAuth**: sign-in service. Google's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy

**Supabase**: database and authentication hosting (EU region). Data is stored within the EU.

**Vercel**: site hosting and analytics. Vercel's privacy policy: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

**Google AdSense** (after consent): ad-serving platform. Google's privacy policy applies.

**PayPal** (donations): if you click the donate button, you are redirected to PayPal's website and their privacy policy applies.

6. Data Retention

  • localStorage data: stored on your device until you clear your browser data.
  • Account data: retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Server logs: automatically purged after 30 days.
  • Champion poll votes: retained for the duration of the tournament (until July 19, 2026), then deleted.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the following rights:

**Right of access**: request a copy of your personal data.

**Right to rectification**: correct inaccurate data.

**Right to erasure**: request deletion of your account and associated data within 30 days.

**Right to portability**: receive your data in a machine-readable format.

**Right to object**: object to processing based on legitimate interest.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in France).

8. Data Security

The Site uses HTTPS for all communications. Account data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enabled, meaning users can only access their own data. We do not store payment card data — all donations are processed exclusively by PayPal.

9. Disclaimer

This site is an independent predictions tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to FIFA, the FIFA World Cup™, or any national football association. All team names, country names and flags are used for identification purposes only.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
